At what age did you start becoming fascinated with fashion?
My fascination with fashion started since I became self-aware, so you can say since primary school age.
How did you prepare for a career in styling?
Well, first I took time to study famous stylist in the developed countries in order to fully understand the industry. Then I compared that with the current situation in Tanzania so that I could figure out how to best offer my service in our market
How do you stay updated on current trends?
I stay updated by browsing variety of internet sites blogs and other media. I try to follow fashion week mainly in Tanzania, south Africa, Nigeria, New York, Paris and Ghana. I also check out fashion related TV programs
How important Fashion week is for you?
As I said above fashion weeks across the world are one of my important sources for learning new trends and ideas.
What are your plans? Where do you see yourself taking your styling career?
My plan is to continue build up JouJou House of Style to become on stop shop for all things fashion and beauty for women from all works life. I would also like to take Part in developing the stylist industry in Tanzania.

What advice do you have for up and coming fashion stylist up there?
My main advice is to keep learning because fashion trends change very fast and don’t just do it for money, it must be your real interest
